- Elizabeth City is a relic. Lots of old, run-down mansions from the
- the days of slaves and servants. Swamps and moss on the trees. Lots
- of charm and not much to do, but close to the Outer Banks and steeped
- in a sort of historical <aura>. The fish are tasty and the women
- are lovely, as women are everywhere.
- Elizabeth City has the distinction of being one of the cities
- visited by -ggs on the second honeymoon that he spent with his first
- wife five days before they first started talking about getting a
- divorce, *and* one of the cities visited by -ggs on the first
- honeymoon he spent with his second wife, the infamous tc/sw.
- Neither, incidentally, knew about the <other> connection, thanks
- to -ggs' sense of propriety, or rather, -ggs' brilliant but
- momentary flash of good sense.
- Elizabeth City, it seems, is a *historic* site. Take the job.
