- would reply "New York" -- they'd say, "I know that, but -where- in New
- York?" "The Bronx" I'd reply, and comprehension dawned: "Oh," they
- realized, "You mean New York -City-!" (The college in question was
- also in New York State, but we "New Yorkers" really didn't grok that
- concept.)
