- We use SYBACK at Merrill Lynch, both for our normal backups and restores
- and for disaster recovery. We converted from VMBACKUP several years ago
- when we moved the data center, because SYBACK was so much faster (VMBACKUP
- may be faster than it was, but I have no figures on it). By coincidence,
- I just ran a disaster recovery test at an alternate site this last weekend,
- and we restored a total of 160 3380E and 3390-3 volumes in 6.5 hours! We are
- *very* happy with SYBACK as a backup/restore tools for both daily and
- disaster purposes. We use VMSECURE and VMTAPE, and SYBACK works well with
- them.
