  17. Time to change the subject heading, but in response to Dorothy's question about
  18. whether anyone else has experienced not getting colds or flus, Yes!  I've been
  19. sick with CFIDS for 2 1/2 years, and been exposed to lots of sick people, and
  20. have never yet gotten a cold or the flu.  It seems to me like people get
  21. CFIDS primarily in 2 different ways: some people seem to get constant bacterial
  22. infections on top of their CFIDS symptoms, and some of us *never* get anything.

  24. I've always thought of that our immune systems are so up-regulated that it kills
  25.     off other bugs.  But maybe what we have in common is that our immune systems
  26. are is disregulated.  Who knows.  I suppose I should be grateful for the little
  27. things, but right now I'm feeling so lousy that I'm not feeling very grateful
  28. towards anything.

  30. Has anyone else read about having a CFIDS awareness day?  Now I can't remember
  31. whether I read about it in Roger's newsletter...somewhere I read about having a
  32. CFIDS lie-in to publicize the enormous loss and costs involved in CFIDS.
