  11. Just found the latest SBOS beta release on the Gravis BBS. I don't have much
  12. time to upload it to epas yet, but will do so later this evening if nobody
  13. beats me to it. :) (at 2400, the 185k file still takes 15 minutes to u/l.. :( )

  15. From my brief experiments with this new sbos, it sounds better, though a 
  16. few people on the bbs claimed that v1.22 is still better... It uses a whole
  17. new set of *.sbs patches and this time the sbosdrv is loaded as a device 
  18. driver. It's supposed to work with unreal, and testing with Ultima 7 showed
  19. a HUGE gain in speed over the previous two versions. Still slightly slower
  20. than on a regular SB, but heck, at least U7 is PLAYABLE on my 386/25 now...
  21. The digitised voices sound a bit softer also...

  23. Also tried Fate of Atlantis, and it seems to sound better. Could be psycho-
  24. logical though :) (euphoria at finally being able to play U7 at an acceptable
  25. speed again.. ;)
