  36. It's good to be back.  My thumb salutes you all--analogically of course.  I
  37. was actually having a double hernia operation, if any of the adjacent
  38. aforefingered above is a monitor of whereaboutses.  My Kaiser surgeon,
  39. while examining  my protuberances, gazed up at me, popped his gloves and
  40. coughed, <Fool! Words-L--weren't you warned?  These hernias bear all their
  41. earmarks.>  Needless to say I was even more shocked coming to consciousness
  42. to discover incision scars looking like this-((abh)- or some such although
  43. I see them upside down.

  45. I liked my kaiser surgeon though i was concerned that he didn't know that
  46. Timothy Leary germinated some seeds of psychedelia while under the same

  50. Say, my friends, how's about a bit of advice.  I'm in the process of
  51. plunging into to the purchase of a MAC IIsi.  Their appears to me (ergo,
  52. the question) to be a good deal.  $1725 for 5/80 drive, ext KB, 14"Color
  53. RGB monitor.  Sound good?  This will be for my home, and I'll be needing to
  54. get a modem.  I'm looking at pp 52-53 of current MACWherehouse
  55. catalogue--PowerUser 9600, ProModem Ultima, SupraFaxModem, Practical
  56. SmartPack 9600 Modem.  All of them go for about $360.  Which (if any) would
  57. you suggest?
