- because they are independently pannable doesn't make them stereo, at
- least IMO.

- Yes, I realize MIDI files on the SB do not play in stereo. Your
- proposal sounds correct but for the GUS I think it's true that when
- playing MIDI files for SoundBlaster using SBOS you get what sounds
- like stereo. I haven't notice this on any other file type but it may
- be I haven't looked hard enough.
