  12. A comment and a request for opinions....
  13. 1.  Most faculty in my program base authorship order on intellectual
  14. contribution.  Thus, if I develop a study,
  15. even if in the context of my professor's larger program of
  16. research, I would get first authorship.

  18. 2.  I need a reality check...
  19. What do you all think of grad students who are paid (e.g. work study)
  20. then expect (and have sometimes gotten) authorship on a poster or
  21. paper?
