- The \N7 setting is for auto-reliable v.42bis connection, which
- means that it will step down from there if it does not achieve v.42bis.
- I believe (I don't have the reference card in front of me at the moment)
- that the \N4 calls for a certain kind of connection, and if it does
- not get it, it drops carrier.
