  22.      I think one of the missions from Wing Commander I is impossible.
  23. Yeah, I saved the Ralari -- once.  That isn't the impossible one.

  25.     After completing Wing Commander successfully a couple times I
  26. started a new campaign and blew just about every mission, just to see
  27. what would happen.  One of the missions involves escorting a tanker.
  28.     Once I fought off all the attacking ships and was a long way from the
  29. tanker, so I headed back toward the tanker and then it dissapeared.  Gone.
  30. When I got back to the Claw the Captain/whatever said, "Don't worry about it.
  31. No one could have saved that tanker.  Command badly underestimated the enemy
  32. strength in this sector." or words to that effect.
  33.       So I tried again.  This time I fought off all the enemy and
  34. was following the tanker when <BLAM> the thing just blows up.  The
  35. nearest enemy (I blew them up afterwards) was something like 11,000
  36. kilometers away.  I got back to the Claw, and the same message.
  37.      I hate that.  Maybe I'll try it again, with the cheat.  I don't
  38. think that'll help, though.  I think the transport has a Kilrathi saboteur
  39. on board.  Oh, it wasn't a tanker, it was a transport full of
  40. evacuating women & children.
  41.      Of course, to get to that mission you have to do really bad for a long
  42. time.
