  13.     Has anybody been using the Khoros file-format conversion program,
  14. pbm2viff?  I tried using it on an image I scanned in using an EPSON GT-4000
  15. in pbm format.  I got the following error message from pbm2viff:

  17.     read_pbm:  Error!  Invalid width.
  18.     Unable to read width of the pbm image.
  19.     pbm2viff: Could not read input image.

  21.     This is a strange error message since John Bradley's XV had no
  22. problem reading and displaying the same pbm file.

  24.     I've tried using a PBM format file and PGM format file and both
  25. give the same error and in both cases I believe the input file is okay
  26. since XV is able to read it.
