It, as always, depends on whether you are close to the transmission. From
Sunnyvale, on an outside antenna, I have no problem with CHP units
throughout San Jose, up to Redwood City, and east to Hayward. The key to
low band is having a good antenna. A good wideband antenna will do wonders
for your reception.

42.20 and 42.40 aren't familiar to me. Which dispatch area are you trying
to listen to? Better doublecheck the mobile frequency. Also, you want to
disable the scan delay for both base and mobile frequencies since you want
the radio to immediately scan for the other side of the transmission. By
the way, did you know that the base and mobile transmit on different
frequencies? You also might try the extender frequency of 154.905.

If we gave them out, we'd have to shoot you afterwards. You must not be
from around here - San Franciscans have killed for calling it "Frisco".

Hard to say, the store has been open since the late 70's I believe.

Hmmmmmmm.

Not many, although some of the mobile data terminals are showing up there.
