  20. Well I can say that I've had the same problem down here in the LA area with 
  21. CHP also. I've punched in every CHP freq I can find and never seem to hear
  22. the mobile ones, only dispatch, *UNLESS* they are VERY close (2-3 miles).

  24. The scanner stops on the mobile extender freq sometimes but they're most weak
  25. signals and obviously from a handheld, low power etc...

  27. It's interesting though because I'm sure the cars put out 50+ watts, or so,
  28. and should be easy enough to hear on the input freq. So what gives?

  30. Not sure why this is going on but if I ever hear a mobile unit I mind my P's
  31. and Q's becuase I know they're around somewhere close!  :-)
