- I just bought a 85 Mazda GLC with a 5 spd. transmission. The
- problem is that in the town where I live, most streets have
- a speed limit of either 25 or 35 mph, and a zillion cops as
- well. So, I never get to go fast enough for 5th gear and
- 4th is the highest I have to drive at. Is this bad for the
- engine ? Are 5-spd. cars designed to go reasonably long
- distances on the 4th gear ? Any info. on this will be
- appreciated.
-
- Thanks in advance.
