  11.  Well, just caught a few minutes of Olympic events, flipping the dial,
  12. procrastinating. And they were showing various gymnastic events, which
  13. I don't find particularly interesting so I wasn't watching for long,
  14. but I did notice one thing.

  16.  Most of the Canadian athletes actually appeared to be women. But many
  17. other athletes appeared to be girls. I mean, *really* young girls -
  18. they were saying ages like 14 and 15 on the commentary.

  20.  Is it just me, or does anyone else doubt that a child that age is
  21. going to handle Olympic stresses all that well? I mean, we all know
  22. how completely screwed up chronologically mature athletes seem to get.
  23. But these little kids? (And why did the Canadians tend to be older?)
