- Well, just caught a few minutes of Olympic events, flipping the dial,
- procrastinating. And they were showing various gymnastic events, which
- I don't find particularly interesting so I wasn't watching for long,
- but I did notice one thing.

- Most of the Canadian athletes actually appeared to be women. But many
- other athletes appeared to be girls. I mean, *really* young girls -
- they were saying ages like 14 and 15 on the commentary.

- Is it just me, or does anyone else doubt that a child that age is
- going to handle Olympic stresses all that well? I mean, we all know
- how completely screwed up chronologically mature athletes seem to get.
- But these little kids? (And why did the Canadians tend to be older?)
