- I have received 3 telephone calls over the past 2 days from
- a marketing agency proudly announcing that "I am guaranteed
- to win 1 out of 6 awards ranging anywhere from $1000-20000".
- But the catch is that i have to give them my credit card no.
- to buy vitamins first since it is a product promotion too.
- Imagine, shelling out $699 for a 6 month supply of vitamins !!
-
- I'm glad that I saw a program on TV a couple of months back
- about the same kind of scam occuring somewhere in the midwest
- and many people getting ripped off of 1000s of $$. Had I not seen
- that program, I would really have been tempted to give out my
- number since these people are really very aggressive and
- convincing. Todays conversation ended when I gave the guy calling
- a piece of my mind and his banging the phone down.
-
- Can nothing be done about these kind of operations ?
- They even gave me the name of their firm, their tel. no.
- and their names too.
-
- It is:
- Professional Marketing
- 1-800-458-1606
-
- The people gave their names as:
- 1. Joanna Stark
- 2. ---- Ackerman (a guy, but i forgot his first name)
