- HS Database ==> HSDB? ==> Hazardous Substance Data Base on NLM's Toxnet?
-
- My Toxnet Brief Guide to Searching indicates that "HSDB is a factual
- databank focusing upon the toxicology of over 4300 potentially hazardous
- chemicals. In addition to toxicity data, it carries information in such
- areas as emergencymedical treatment, safety and handling, environmental
- fate, exposure potential, and regulatory requirements."
-
- I've got to add that this has to be one of the most value-packed databases
- that NLM has. It is peer-reviewed, has manufacturing and use information,
- and when the chemical that you're looking for is in the database, there's
- usually a gold mine of information.
-
- Hope this helps.
