  13. In response to a question about Tahoe for oldsters (like me :-) John
  14. Fereira recommended a dinner cruise.  I would second this, as well as
  15. the daytime Emerald Bay cruise.  *HOWEVER* I must also add the
  16. following from the little "tahoe-ideas" file that I send out:

  18.     My number one recommendation is take a cruise on the Woodwind.
  19.     This is a 41-foot sailing trimaran that takes 1-to-2 hour
  20.     sails out into the Lake, some 20 or so people at a time.  They
  21.     also have a champagne sunset cruise that is great.  My wife
  22.     and I take a sail (or two, or three ...) just about every time
  23.     we get up there.  They sail from Zephyr Cove (off Highway 50
  24.     on the Nevada side, just north of the Round Hill Mall); this
  25.     is the same place that the M. S. Dixie sails from (one of them
  26.     big motorboats :-).  The beach at Zephyr Cove is nice for
  27.     picnics as well, by the way.  The owner/operator of the
  28.     Woodwind is named Joel Morgan, and the reservations number is
  29.     702-588-3000.  If you do take a cruise, say "hi" to Joel for
  30.     me -- I told him about "netnews" once, but I don't think he
  31.     really visualized what it is; it'd be fun to show him how real
  32.     it is!  [As an aside, I have no interest whatsoever in the
  33.     Woodwind other than LOVING it -- this is NOT a paid
  34.     advertisement!]

  43. PS: John also recommends driving around the Lake -- seconded as well,
  44.     and there are many GREAT picnic spots on the trip.
