Instructions for Fumble Fingers:
Fumble Fingers is an init. To use it, it must be placed in your system folder and your computer must be restarted.
Fumble Fingers watches the keys as you type and when you type a certain word, it changes it to a different word. It works in any place that uses the standard text edit functions, like dialog boxes and the finder (naming files).
Initially, Fumble Fingers changes the word Cat to the word Dog. If you want to change what it looks for and what it changes to, you can use ResEdit to change the two 'STR ' Resources called "Old String" and "New String".
This can be used as a gag (i.e. change the name "John" to "Bozo") or I suppose it could be used for something useful (have it change "Macintosh" to "Apple Macintosh").
I don't take any responsiblity for anything you might do with this.
Fumble Fingers is Free, but I'd really like it if you tell me what interesting things you did with it.
