  20. Description

  22. NotAgain is a very simple program to start programs.
  23. It offers you a menu with YOUR commands from the system tray, 
  24. the little icon box on the taskbar.
  25. The program is very lean and clean; no bells or whistles and uses
  26. very little resources. As a bonus you can also assign hotkeys to the
  27. programs on YOUR menu.
  28. Any program that can be started with a commandline can be used with
  29. NotAgain.

  31. Installation Instructions
  32. -------------------------------------------
  33. NotAgain will only operate under Microsoft Windows 95* or Microsoft 
  34. Window NT 4.0*.
  35. Create a folder named NotAgain
  36. Copy the file
  37. NotAgain.exe
  38. CfgAgain.exe
  39. NotAgain.dat
  40. readme.txt
  41. to this folder.
  42. Drag the NotAgain.exe file onto the start-button.

  44. Usage
  45. -----------
  46. Run NotAgain. A Small spiral icon will appear in the system tray.
  47. Left Click this icon to show the menu of commands. Click a command to run
  48. it.

  50. Right Click the icon to see the options:

  52. -Setup NotAgain will bring you to the setup screen. Here you can add,remove 
  53. and change the commands. You can also change the order of the commands.

  55.    You can give a name for the command to appear on the menu. If the name 
  56.    is - a horizontal bar will appear on the menu(try it).

  58.    Type the complete command line in the commandbox. Some common examples 
  59.    are given in the balloon hint.
  60.        open c:\windows         = explorer.exe c:\windows
  61.        explore c:\windows      = explorer.exe /e, c:\windows
  62.        rootexplore c:\windows  = explorer.exe /e, /root, c:\windows
  63.        dosprompt c:\windows    = command.com /k cd c:\windows
  64.        notepad                 = notepad.exe
  65.        edit win.ini            = start c:\windows\win.ini

  67.    Choose how to run this command:
  68.        Default,Maximized or Minimized.
  69.  
  70.    For dos programs it can be important to start the commmand on the right drive.
  71.    You can indicate which drive to start on. So for the above; 
  72.    'dosprompt c:\windows' the drive would be c.
  73.    
  74.    If you want you can assign a hotkey to each command. If you don't choose ctrl
  75.    or alt or both the hotkey is ignored. Press a single Ctrl or Alt to remove the hotkey

  77. -Load Commandset. 
  78.    You can select an old commandset (previously saved) or type a new, nonexisting
  79.    name to create an empty commandset.

  81. -Save Commandset.
  82.    Give a filename to save the current commands in a new file, or select an 
  83.    existing file to overwrite it with the current commands.

  85. About Commandsets. 
  86.    There is one restriction about using commandsets: 
  87.    They should always exists in the directory where the NotAgain.exe file is
  88.    located.
  89.    You can load a commandset at startup by enterining the name of the set as
  90.    a parameter to NotAgain.exe. E.g.:
  91.       NotAgain dosprompts.dat
  92.    When no file is specified NotAgain uses its default: NotAgain.dat

  94. De-Installation Instructions

  96. To remove NotAgain from your system completely.
  97. Delete the NotAgain folder created during installation.

  101. NotAgain is distibuted as feedback-ware, meaning that the usage of 
  102. NotAgain is free, but the authors would appreciate any comments or 
  103. suggestions; yes positive comment is also allowed.
