  3.   AxMan is a Win95/98/WinNT application that can split any file into pieces.

  75. AxMan Features 
  76. ------------
  77.   - AxMan can split any file, regardless of type, size or long filename.
  78.  
  79.   - AxMan can zip and unzip files
  80.  
  81.   - AxMan can split multiple files
  82.  
  83.   - AxMan can automatically write the split file pieces to a floppy disk. There is
  84.     no need to run AxMan and then copy the pieces to floppy disks manually.

  86.   - AxMan does not require that the disks be empty.  Unlike Microsoft Backup
  87.     and other utilities, AxMan does not require that the disks that it is
  88.     splitting the file to be empty.  Instead, AxMan will fit as much onto
  89.     each disk as it can.

  91.   - AxMan can split to predefined sizes

  93.   - AxMan can re-create any single piece of a split set

  95.   - AxMan can include a restore version (AxManRestore.exe) when splitting that

  122.     users to restore the pieces on Non Windows 95/NT platforms.  Ex. DOS 
  123.     users can restore using "copy /B" and Unix users can restore using "cat".
  124.     This option will also minimize on disk space used. AxMan can restore
  125.     this split type, however, remember, when splitting to non-AxMan format,
  126.     AxMan will not be able to verify that pieces are being put together 
  127.     in the correct order, how many pieces there are total, etc.

  129.   - AxMan can write a batch file to restore the file when the "Non-AxMan" 
  130.     split option is chosen.

  138. Installation
  139. ----------------------
  140. AxMan v3.00 Beta 3 comes with full installation and deinstallation support. 
  141. To install AxMan, simply unzip the package (which you had to do to read this 
  142. file), and run the install.exe.  That's it! To uninstall, select Start Menu, 
  143. then Settings, then Control Panel, then add/remove Programs, then AxMan.  
  144. That's it!

  235.   If you experience an uncaught exception, General Protection Fault (GPF),

  238.   Please do not assume someone else will report it.  We will try to resolve
  239.   reported bugs as quickly as possible.  However, we can't resolve bugs that
  240.   are not reported.

  242.   Please describe the problem in as much detail as possible. In your
  243.   e-mail message, please include the following information:

  245.      - the version of AxMan (as shown in the About dialog box)
  246.      - the error message you received (if any)
  247.      * the error number reported in the title of the message box
  248.        (should read as "AxMan - Error ###")
  249.      - a short description of what happened.

  254.   Note that if a disk that contains a ".axman" file becomes corrupt, there 
  255.   is nothing we can do to help you recover/restore the file.  Instead you
  256.   may want to check into some of the many popular disk utilities.
