  1. This is the Installation Guide for the Demo-Version of SORCERERS!
  2.  
  3. After having downloaded the !Spark-archives 'Disc1of5' - 'Disk5of5' 
  4. and the archives containing the languages 'Deutsch' and/or (if yet 
  5. available) 'English',
  6. you'll have to perform the following steps to get a working copy:
  7.  
  8.  1. If you don't have a Harddisk, throw this stuff away.
  9.  2. If you have one, be prepared to have 6 formated discs on hand,
  10.     800 kB ADFS E-Format each (7 for the bilingual version).
  11.  3. Name the discs 'Disc1of5', 'Disc2of5', 'Disc3of5', 'Disc4of5',
  12.     'Disc5of5', 'Deutsch' (and/or 'English'). (Note that they _have_
  13.     to be named Disc1of5, not DISC1OF5, else installation won't work)
  14.  4. Unpack the archives on the relating Discs using !SparkPlug 2.x
  15.     Now you should have the !Summoner and Data1 in the root-directory
  16.     of Disc1of5, Data2 on Disc2of5, ... and the (two) Resources-
  17.     folder(s) on the (two) language-disc(s).
  18.  5. Double-click over the !Summoner-Icon on Disc1of5. 
  19.     This will install its Icon on the Iconbar. 
  20.  6. After pressing MENU over the Iconbar you will be presented with an 
  21.     installation-menu.
  22.     Choosing the desired language and dragging the Icon to a filer 
  23.     window will start the installation. Just follow the instructions 
  24.     given to perform the installation onto your Harddisk.
  25.  7. If you want to install both languages (if supplied), repeat step 6.
  26.     but click on "Language only" this time. Also don't forget to set
  27.     the correct language ;-)   
  28.     (Be aware to have ~9 MB free if you want to install the bilingual
  29.     Version)
  30.  8. After the installation press MENU over the Icon on the Iconbar again
  31.     and perform the Operation "Configure" to choose the options fitting
  32.     your machine's configuration best (Note that for machines other than
  33.     the Risc PC a screen-refresh of 85 Hz is suggested).
  34.  9. If you didn't make errors during installation, the demo should
  35.     boot up after double-clicking onto the !SorcDemo-icon on your
  36.     Harddisk now.
  37.    
  38.     However if it doesn't, don't hesistate to contact me 
  39.     (see e-mail address below). And _please_ contact me and don't post
  40.     this stuff to c.s.a.g as many people did last time. This time the 
  41.     Demo had to undergo a severe testing before I uploaded it, so there 
  42.     shouldn't be Bugs any more.

  44. NOTES: * This time the screen-redraw has been rewritten, so on the slower
  45.          machines the demo flickers a few times, this will be fixed in
  46.          the full version (and maybe there will be an update of Disc1of5
  47.          when I upload the English language folder as well)

  49.        * Also, your opinion towards our game (and especially a 
  50.          comparison between it and the other game named quite similar 
  51.          (you know which one i mean ;-) ) is always welcome.

  53.        * Finally I'd like to point out that the game was develloped for
  54.          use with an ARM3 or even the fabulous machine called RiscPC...
  55.          so don't be surprised if it's pretty slow on a machine 
  56.          containing an ARM250 or even an ARM2.
