This is a brief information file on OFFLINE. Please read the documentation
in the file called OFFLINE.DOC.
▒▒ Brief Description
A QWK message manager let's you read and reply to your BBS mail offline.
You can enjoy your mail at your own leisure.
PLEASE READ THE DOCUMENTATION FOR OFFLINE. If you want to print the
documentation, enter this command... COPY OFFLINE.DOC PRN
▒▒ Quick Start
Setting up is automatic. Simply Download a QWK mail packet from your
favourite BBS, and run OFFLINE. It will set itself up the first time you
run it. You can always change the setup from the main menu at any time.
QWK structure, assumes the user will have ANSI.SYS loaded. You will need
the following line in your config.sys file: Device=c:\dos\ansi.sys

OFFLINE HLX (optional online help files)
OFFLINE HLT (optional online help files)
README (information only)
OFFLINE DOC (information only)
WHATSNEW TXT (information only)
SAMPLE QWK (sample qwk packet for local testing only)
SAMPLE TAG (sample/optional tagline file - rename to offline.tag
if you want to use it)
OFFLINE.CFG will automatically be created by OFFLINE.EXE. You will also
require an archiver, and an editor. OFFLINE supports PKZIP, LHA, LHARC,
and ARJ.
▒▒ Registration
Offline is a copyrighted program. It is available to NON COMMERCIAL USERS
WITHOUT COST. To any commercial users, this means anyone who uses the
software for commercial gain for a "for profit" organization, OFFLINE must
be licensed. Please see the OFFLINE.DOC for more information.
