  38. Hey all, here is my transcription of Joe Satriani's "Day at the Beach" from
  39. his Flying in a Blue Dream album.  After working for awhile, I managed to create
  40. an arrangement that was in the original key and did not require contortions!
  41. Some of the parts are played an octave lower than on the record.  Since the
  42. highest note in the piece is C#, you would need a six-string with at least
  43. 25 frets to play that note! (without re-tuning, of course).  I think the
  44. arrangement is pretty true to the record, let me know what you think.
  45. BTW, I didn't put in the various tempo markings in the transcription, check
  46. the record for details.

  49.    I transcribed this piece for four string.  This might make playing the octave
  50. E's in measure 10 and other places difficult to play.  The lower register
  51. notes are to be played with the fingering hand and the upper register notes
  52. are to be played with the picking hand.  I play the thirds on
  53. the upper strings with my thumb and index or middle finger and I play the
  54. fourths with index and middle fingers.
