The MAX Shell
─────────────
Integrating drop down menus and colorful graphics, the MAX shell is a user
interface which provides ready access to all of the diagnostic and
optimization features of 386MAX and BlueMAX. Among the features which can
be accessed are ASQ, MAXIMIZE, and 386UTIL. Also included is a full-screen
editor and Update interface for applying update diskettes.
Two internal features of the MAX shell are the on-line help section and
option selector. The on-line help contains valuable information on all
facets of the product's use and configuration. The option selector
provides descriptions for 386MAX and BlueMAX options which can be added or
removed from the configuration file through the easy to use menu.

Troubleshooting the MAX Shell
─────────────────────────────
If you are experiencing problems when running the MAX shell, the issue can
probably be resolved by using a command line parameter. Command line
options are specified when invoking the MAX shell at the DOS prompt ( ie
MAX /V ). Options such as:
/B force monochrome mode
/C force color mode
/V inhibit graphics logo on startup
can be used to work around most video issues.
