  5.     We hope your have enjoyed the Humor Digest up to this point, as we
  6. have certainly enjoyed publishing it.  As of this writing we have compiled
  7. enough material to keep the digest around for at least another YEAR, and
  8. there is apparently NO end to the humorous material out there.  But we
  9. would certainly appreciate hearing from our readers.  If you have any
  10. comment, humorous item original or canned, or even some funny original
  11. story, we want'em!!  Come on!...  If everyone sends us just ONE joke...

  21.     Well, the future is here!  You may have noticed that it took you a
  22. little longer to download this issue than usual.  It could be, THAT WE
  23. DOUBLED THE NUMBER OF PAGES!!!  That's right 45 - 50 pages of Humor each
  24. month.  We have also switched our packing method from .ZIP to .ARC, for
  25. more information see ATTENTION section below!
  26.     Far reaching plans are in the works for a bound version of our
  27. digest.  This would be a Tri-Yearly extravaganza (Four months of humor at
  28. a shot) for a price to be released in later issues...  stay tuned!
  29.     Also we are gearing up for the Christmas issue early.  We have in
  30. store for you some really good Seasonal Jokes.  If you think you have a
  31. good one for that time of year send it in!

  35.     Well the first two months have been good ones.  We have received
  36. requests for Humor Digest from as far away as Australia!  I think that
  37. means we're International.  Ohhhhh we're shivery all over!

  43.    SUBJECT: The BBS Humor Digest is changing its Packing Method.
  44.     REASON: Lack of DeZIPer for ATARI, APPLE, MAC, and DEC systems.
  45. START DATE: May 25th 1990
  46.  
  47.     Due to lack of 'UNIVERSAL' compatibility, we have decided to change
  48. our Packing method from .ZIP to .ARC.  This will mean a slight increase in
  49. download time, but will make the Digest available to a much wider
  50. audience.
  51.     Our third issue will mark the beginning of the new Packing method.
  52. This issue will be named 'Joke6-90.ARC' and will be released on the 25th
  53. of May.  We plan to continue releasing following issues on or before the
  54. 25th of the proceeding month.
  55.     At this point we have decided to rerelease the first two issues with
  56. the .ARC compression scheme, so that those who where unable to unpack it
  57. can now get in on what we hope will become "The Biggest Joke Book In The
  58. World!" These rereleases will also be made available on the 25th of May.
