  1. In VIEW, you also can EDIT your database. Essentially,
  2. it works like this: use the cursor keys or click the
  3. scroll bar arrows to move to a file position. Once you
  4. are at the Record you need to edit, click the EDIT key
  5. (or press 'E'). Press ESCAPE or click the EXIT pushbutton
  6. to get back to VIEW. In VIEW, You can click and drag the
  7. scroll button up and down to get to a relative file
  8. position. Alternately, you can choose a record by entry
  9. of a record number.

  11. Alternate methods abound: the screen bottom is filled
  12. with pushbuttons. For instance, to get to the File Bottom
  13. (Record 1), you can Click FIRST, Press 'F', drag the
  14. scroll button to the bottom, Click the Down Arrow several
  15. times, or use the Down Cursor Key. Whew!

  17. By the way, the File BOTTOM is Record 1, not the other
  18. way around. Why? Think of the records as being stacked up
  19. as several sheets of paper, with the last page (on top)
  20. as the last record you put in place.The Very First Record
  21. is at the bottom of the pile. When you want to add a new
  22. record, Click (choose) LAST, and click the UP arrow to
  23. get to LAST + 1, which is an empty record. Fill it in,
  24. and if this were a real stack, you would put it at the
  25. top -- not stuff it underneath the bottom page.

  27. To EDIT, click (choose) EDIT or 'E'. You can use the
  28. cursor keys to cycle through the records, or you point to
  29. the desired record and click. The record which will then
  30. be edited is shown in RED. Now just type your data. Field
  31. 4 and Field 7 are used as a special case -- common
  32. spelling files. Field 7 is used as CONDITION. Just Click
  33. the desired condition or, use the cursor keys to cycle
  34. and press ENTER. In Field 4, YOU MUST USE THE MOUSE to
