  12. In order for SlashBar 1.0 ((c) 1987 Ziff-Davis) to work with POWERKIT (or any 
  13. other TSR loaded beneath SlashBar), the following must be typed:

  15. A>debug slashbar.com <slashmod.txt
  16.  
  17. The above need be done only once.  To let POWERKIT know it will be receiving 
  18. commands from SlashBar, set the /U1 option when loading POWERKIT ("COM" OR 
  19. "OBJ").  Then, load POWERKIT's menu into SlashBar by typing:

  21. A>slashbar.com powerkit.mnu/2000
  22.  
  23. Press "ALT" and "/" and SlashBar will pop up POWERKIT's menu.  SLASHMOD.TXT's 
  24. first two lines can be used to change this combination.  See the article by 
  25. R.L. Hummel, SlashBar's author, in PC Magazine, vol. 6, #10, p.350.  One place

  31. Software developers who wish to use the SlashBar menu, feel free to use this 
  32. patch and my SlashBar interface (contact me).  I think a standard menu style 
  33. would be good for the industry.  I think users are getting tired of learning a 
  34. whole new system for each program they buy.
