The 6 halls of residence are collections of large purpose-built brick buildings each housing up to 100 students in the leafy south-west of the city, and 20mins walk from the University (or 25p by bus). 2 of the newer halls, which house the self-catered accommodation, are a short distance from the other 4. About 20% of places in the halls are in shared rooms although mixed couples aren't allowed unless married. There is no single sex accommodation apart from limited housing for female Muslims. [ITAL]Pittsmoor and Broomhall (not to be confused with Broomhill) have too many nutters, prostitutes and drug dealers after twilight.
