[HDNG]INTRODUCTION:[EHDNG][PARA][BULL] The College is part of University of Oxford and students are entitled to use its facilities.[EBOLD][PARA]Brasenose College is named after its brass door knocker, made in 1279 and now hanging over the high table, which is shaped like an animal's face with a pronounced snout (ie brazen nose). The College is[ITAL] ideally situated [EITAL]at the heart of the University in Radcliffe Square and 300 yards from Carfax. It is flanked by the main libraries and is right in the centre of Oxford, [ITAL]and was one of the main sites for the filming of 'Inspector Morse'. The College is very sporty, but they're also proud of the convivial tea room, Gertie's, the bosom of the College, and a strong academic record, especially in Law and PPE. [EITAL]The students do provide the University with a steady stream of journalists for 'Cherwell' and so on.[PARA][PARA]Bar (cap 120).
