In C major, for example, the dominant seventh is built on the note G. Next to the {\uldb tonic}{\v 101048}, the dominant seventh is the most frequent and powerful chord in Mozart\'92s music. It generally precedes most {\uldb cadences}{\v 21968} (as in the second example) as well as the final return to the tonic chord at the end of the {\uldb movement}{\v 151907}.
