SYMPTOM
- The updated VLM files fix problems with critical errors (int 24).
Applications developed with Visual Basic and Quick Basic expect the registers
to be setup differently, so a change was made to accommodate this difference.
The symptoms are as follows: When the VLM Client generates an interrupt 24,
applications developed under Visual Basic and Quick basic will cause the
workstation to enter an infinite loop, or hang. Modifications have been made
to alleviate this problem.
- The updated VLM files fix problems with ErrorMode. Dos errors were being
returned instead of NetWare errors. NetWare errors are now returned.
- The updated VLM files fix a problem where the error "insufficient disk
space" is displayed at the workstation when there is disk space available.
- The updated VLM files fix problems with temporary drives.
- The updated IPXODI.COM corrects a problem where workstations may randomly
hang when using the LSL.COM, MLIDs (NE2000.COM), and IPXODI.COM currently in
VLMUP1.EXE
SOLUTION
If you are experiencing any of the problems listed above install the files
provided in VLMFX1.EXE.
