No complete soundboard tape from this tour has as yet surfaced.
The tapes from New Orleans, San Antonio and Oklahoma City are all in very
good quality.
Comments
~~~~~~~~
The second Hurricane Carter Benefit concert in Houston ("Night Of The
Hurricane 2") in January 1976 has been included in the first Rolling Thunder
Revue tour as this concert is musically more like the first part of the
Rolling Thunder Revue.
Due to poor ticket sales, this tour was terminated with the show in
Salt Lake City. There is no tape circulating from this last Rolling Thunder
Revue concert and there are many rumors as to what really happened that night.
One paper reported that 'Black Diamond Bay' was played, but the consensus
among the Dylanologists at this time is that it was 'Romance In Durango'
On the other hand the same researchers have now concluded that in duet with
Joan Baez 'Lily, Rosemary and the Jack Of Hearts' was performed!
no studio version known.
Rita May - once, in New Orleans
One Of Us Must Know - first ever live and only once.
Vision Of Johanna - again only one try at this song.
Songs from DESIRE
