hiffplay -<option> [filename] -<option>
DDEESSCCRRIIPPTTIIOONN
HIFFPLAY allows the playing of IFF Stereo or Monophonic
sound from disc. If no filename is given on the command
line you will be prompted to pick one with the mouse. Also,
if the enviroment variable SNDDIR is defined this is where
sound files will be played from if selected with mouse.
Playing may be interrupted anytime by pressing CTRL-E or
CTRL-C.
PPAARRAAMMEETTEERRSS
Parameters may be in either uppercase or lowercase, or
both. The '=' is optonal where applicable.
-? Quick Help
-s=<seconds> Length of time to play in seconds.
0=All, Default
-b=<multiple> Multiple of sample frequency for play buffers
CCAAVVEEAATTSS
A sufficiently FAST SCSI disc drive is required for proper
operation. If other processes are going to be accessing the
disc use a large buffer multiple to prevent sound gaps.
HIFFPLAY is machine specific and is only supported on the
dual board MM/1 with at least 1 megabyte of memory and SCSI
disc drive.
