WELCOME NEW REGISTERED USER!
Now that your copy of APRS is validated, your SETUP and CONFIGURATION will
be saved in a config file. APRS will always check for a CONFIG file with
the extension of .APR unless another 3 character extension is specified.
Be sure you have 1) placed yourself on the map,
2) centered the map to your area of interest,
3) entered a digipeater path using the UNPROTO command
These will establish where APRS begins each session. If you want to change
these, you may do so at anytime and re-save your SETUP and CONFIG file. You
may also save other config files under different 3 character extensions.
These may then be activated from DOS by adding the /xxx extension:
FOR EXAMPLE: C:\APRS> APRS63/GPS.
Each extension can be a different application, GPS, WX, MOB, HF, etc. To
over-ride the .APR config, or to re-start APRS from scratch, simply specify
an extension that does not exist such as C:\APRS> APRS63/new.
Thank you for contributing to the APRS idea. I hope you find it useful...
