═══ 1. Help for Selecting Number of Adapters ═══ Use this window to select the number of Advanced Gravis Ultrasound Adapters that you have installed in your system. The maximum number of Ultrasound Adapters supported by MMPM/2 is one. If you select zero, then you will de-install all Ultrasound Adapters that have been previously installed by MMPM/2. ═══ 2. Help for selecting Ultrasound values ═══ On this screen, you specify the values that you want to use with your Advanced Gravis Ultrasound Adapter. The values are described below. If you choose Close from the system menu, the selected values are set back to the default values. Select Ok to save the selected values and continue. Board I/O Port Address This field allows you to select the I/O port address for the Advanced Gravis Ultrasound you have installed in your system. Use the drop down box to set the correct address for this card. The valid port address are: 210, 220, 230, 240, 250, and 260 If the device driver fails to initialize (during system reboot following install), it might be necessary to change the I/O port address. To change the port address: Perform a selective installation and select the new I/O port address, or Edit the CONFIG.SYS, specify the new port address (It is the value immediately after the /B: on ULTRADD.SYS line of the CONFIG.SYS), and reboot. 16-bit CODEC I/O Port Address This field allows you to select the base I/O port address for the CODEC found on the 16-bit daughtercard and Ultrasound MAX. If you do not have either of these cards installed, you can ignore this option by selecting the default. The valid port address are: 30C, 31C, 32C, 33C, 34C, 35C, and 36C If the device driver fails to initialize (during system reboot following install), it might be necessary to change the I/O port address. To change the port address: Perform a selective installation and select the new I/O port address, or Edit the CONFIG.SYS, specify the new port address (It is the value immediately after the /C: on ULTRADD.SYS line of the CONFIG.SYS), and reboot. DMA Channel This field allows you to select the DMA channel for the Advanced Gravis Ultrasound you have installed in your system. Use the drop down box to set the correct DMA channel for this card. This DMA channel will be used for both playback and record. The valid DMA Channels are: 1, 3, 5, 6, and 7 If the device driver fails to initialize (during system reboot following install), it might be necessary to change the DMA channel. To change the DMA channel setting: Perform a selective installation and select the new DMA channel, or Edit the CONFIG.SYS, specify the new DMA channel (It is the value immediately after the /D: on ULTRADD.SYS line of the CONFIG.SYS), and reboot. Ultrasound Interrupt Level This field allows you to select the Ultrasound (GF1) interrupt level for the Advance Gravis Ultrasound you have installed in your system. Use the drop down box to set the correct interrupt level for this card. NOTE: If you have an Adaptec or compatible SCSI controller installed in your computer, take special care in selecting a value which will not conflict with it (it also defaults to 11). The valid interrupt levels are: 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 12, and 15 If the device driver fails to initialize (during system reboot following install), it might be necessary to change the interrupt level. To change the interrupt level setting: Perform a selective installation and select the new interrupt level, or Edit the CONFIG.SYS, specify the new interrupt level (It is the value immediately after the /U: on ULTRADD.SYS line of the CONFIG.SYS), and reboot. MIDI Interrupt Level This field allows you to select the MIDI interrupt level for the Advance Gravis Ultrasound you have installed in your system. Use the drop down box to set the correct interrupt level for this card. The valid interrupt levels are: 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 12, and 15 If the device driver fails to initialize (during system reboot following install), it might be necessary to change the interrupt level. To change the interrupt level setting: Perform a selective installation and select the new interrupt level, or Edit the CONFIG.SYS, specify the new interrupt level (It is the value immediately after the /M: on ULTRADD.SYS line of the CONFIG.SYS), and reboot.
