TurboIRC Chess

TurboIRC Chess is TurboIRC's tool for a chess game .

TurboIRC Chess can be called as a DCC request from TurboIRC . You can call TurboIRC chess outside of TurboIRC as well . TurboIRC chesst syntax is :

TCHESS.EXE [IP] port

IP and port is the remote IP and Port of the remote side to connect . If you enter only a port number , TurboIRC Chess will wait for a connection ( it will act as a server ) .Under TurboIRC , you need not to know all of these details , because TurboIRC automatically calculates the parameters to call the TurboIRC Chess . These parameters are required only if you want to manually call TCHESS.EXE .

Once the connection is made , you can play a chess game , by selecting : New Game . You can also load/save game as well , and you can set a clock time . Within a connection between two TCHESSes , the one that acted like a server can only start a new game , save , or load a game , and. select colors .

TurboIRC chess knows all piece moves , and advanced modes like O-O or O-O-O , en-passant and pawn promotion . When your pawn reaches the last line , TurboIRC Chess will ask you to what piece you would like to promote the pawn .
