STW/COVERAGE for WINDOWS

STW/Coverage for Windows works as a stand-alone suite of coverage analyzers or as part of the fully integrated TestWorks testing tools. Using recursive descent compiler technology, STW/Coverage,is able to efficiently handle all standard structures and dialects of C and C++. STW/Coverage indicates how well your application is exercised through easily-produced textual, graphic and tabular reports. STW/Coverage indicates where testing is incomplete by providing measurements to determine how well test cases exercise a program at the unit, system and integration test levels.

STW/Coverage provides branch and call-pair coverage for both C and C++. Branch coverage is used for unit and system testing, tracking the number of times each segment in a function has been exercised. Call-pair coverage is used primarily at integration testing, determining if each function call has been exercised. Coverage tells testers how complete a test suite is, focusing effort on untested code, rather than creating new tests for well-exercised sections of the code. This information helps determine when enough testing has occurred, as well as determining the coverage level which is necessary previous to product release.

The resulting data is displayed in coverage reports, annotated call-trees and directed graphs, or in a tabular report. The reports include hit, not hit, newly hit, newly missed, and histogram reports for current, past and cumulative test results.
