BANFF

BANFF is a CFD based tool designed to perform comprehensive computational simulations of turbulent Reacting Flows for complex 3-D configurations. Current software simulates reacting and non-reacting flow of gases and includes full coupling between turbulent fluid mechanics, radiative, and convective heat transfer, furnance-side reaction chemistry and process-side chemical kinetics. Nox computations that include prompt, fuel and thermal mechanisms can also be included in the analysis. Our tools have been applied to a variety of industrial combustion and chemical process sytems, including gas fired utility boilers, gasifiers, gas turbine combustors, rotary kilns, waste incinerators, and chemical process heaters.
