Engineers designed TotalNET Advanced Server components - LMserver (LAN Manager server), NWserver (NetWare server), and MACserver (Macintosh server) - to work together seamlessly, so TAS showcases the interoperability of Syntax's server products. TAS components can also be purchased separately to meet specific configurations.
TotalNET Advanced Server software fully uses UNIX as the enterprise advanced LAN server operating system, allowing it to operate with other UNIX processes like databases, communication gateways, and network file systems. Other services TotalNET Advanced server offers include file and print sharing, administration, NetBIOS directory services, terminal emulation, security, and advanced client-server options.
