This 3.5" 230 Megabyte magneto-optical drive offers an 80% increase in storage capacity per disk over the previous generation. The Tahoe 230 is a fully rewritable optical drive that connects to any SCSI or parallel port interface, which makes it perfect for portable or desktop computing. Each removable 230 Megabyte disk is ECMA standard compliant for disk swapping with any other ECMA 3.5" magneto-optical drive. The Tahoe 230 is also backwards compatible, automatically detecting, reading and writing to 128 megabyte media. Pinnacle's Tahoe provides a 28 millisecond seek time and a rotation speed of 3600 RPM for fast data throughput.
The Tahoe's optional battery pack provides 3.5 hours of typical computer use, which helps to extend the battery life of any portable computer eliminating the use of a hard drive or floppy drive.
