(Network Optical Jukebox Interface)
The Net-JBI makes it easy to provide today's distributed network environments with up to a terabyte of data storage. The Net-JBI connects 5.25" and 12" rewritable, multifunction and WORM jukeboxes under a number of popular network protocols and operating systems, including TCP/IP, NFS, NetWare and Ethershare environments. Multi-platter jukeboxes may be viewed as one large volume, with a single mount point, or as a number of volumes, depending upon data requirements. Platters may even be removed from the jukebox and remain part of a logical volume group. A user-configurable hard disk cache optimizes read and write performance.
