Apunix's Grayscale Scanner offers both 8 bit (256 level grayscale) and 1 bit (binary or halftone) scan modes. The scanners range from a low cost 600 dpi legal sized scanner with optional document feeder to a B sized 18 ppm scanner with a built-in document feeder to a B sized 40 ppm duplex scanner.
The scanners interface directly to the SCSI port on the workstation.
The scanners include Apunix's award-winning OpenScan
software (see OpenScan listing). The software is designed to take advantage of all of the hardware features of each scanner.
The scanners can be used for office automation (to create a paperless office), for desktop publishing, forms processing, etc. Also available is optical character recognition software.
