The uniTree file and storage management system is a tool for managing the ever-growing volume of data in high performance computing environments. The UniTree Central File Manager (UCFM) provides productivity gains, cost savings and enhanced efficiency for the complex, distributed, multivendor and data intensive computing environment of the 90's.
When installed on a file server platform, and configured with apporpraite storage peripherals, UCFM provides users with an apparently unlimited on-line storage capacity. Hence the product description, "The Virtual Disk System."
In its simplest form, UCFM provides a client/server architecture with a single, central file server and user access via a standard NFS and FTP. Titan also offers an API as an independent interface for direct access to UniTree for in-house applications.
