Output final jobs to Linotronic Imagesetters on-line via the Contex DotBox from Contex Prepress Systems. Contex sends high resolution CT and lineart to the imagesetter marking engine via the DotBox, bypassing lengthy PostScript Rip times. Mac and PC PostScript files can also be sent to the imagesetter directly either through the Linotronic Postscript Rip, or the optional Contex PostScript Rip that resides on the DotBox at the imagesetter.
Precise screening is provided by screening algorithms comparable to traditional screening techniques, including stochastic screening. Customer has the option to use strictly the Contex DotBox based Rip for both PostScript files and Contex files, or use the Contex Rip (for Contex files) and the Linotronic Rip (for PostScript files). Imagesetter Supported: Linostronic 330, 530, 630, Herkules.
