Jet Stream is a RISC-based raster image processor (RIP) (Indy platform) designed to support high speed image processing and printing. Current supported devices include Xerox MajestiK and 5775 Digital Color Copier/Printers, Canon 300, 350, 500, 550, 700 and 800 Color Laser Copiers, Xerox ColorgrafX Electrostatic Printers/Plotters, and Management Graphics Solitaire, Sapphire and Opal film recorders. Supported file formats include PostScript, TIFF, Targa and SGI RGB. Because Jet Stream uses true Adobe PostScript Level 2 code, users are assured fast, accurate results from PostScript files every time. In order to maintain efficiency in a high volume production environment, Jet Stream will accept files over the network, rip files, and print files to the output device simultaneously. Management Graphics provides Adobe print drivers, PPDs and Downloaders for both Macintosh and Windows platforms. Designers working on Macintosh, Windows, or UNIX systems can send files over the network to Jet Stream using TCP/IP, AppleTalk, or Novell. The Jet Cal program is included with every Jet LUTs. For film recorder users, Jet Stream works in conjunction with Management Graphics' Colorfit calibration program for film. JetStream has been approved by Adobe Systems as a Certified PostScript Level 2 RIP, and by Xerox Corporation as part of their CMA Partner Program.
