The Illustra OMF DataBlade module converts the Illustra ORDBMS into a multimedia asset manager. Currently, teams of creative talent work with thousands of objects -- images, geometry, animation, video, sound or compositions -- in the development of CD-ROM, video games or similar consumer products.
The OMF DataBlade module makes it easy to answer questions like: "Find all the compositions that include a given music clip;" "Find video tracks that don't have an audio track;" "Calculate the total length of sound files for a given composition." As content recognition matures, Illustra's unique DataBlade capability will provide a ready means for incorporating third-party products or in-house algorithms.
