The Illustra Text DataBlade module makes your database an expert at managing text. The Text DataBlade is a plug-in module that customizes the Illustra Object-Relational Database Management System to store, manage, and query documents and text.
The Text DataBlade module supplies a large set of functions to allow easy development of complex searches--accesing documents by their content. Stored text can be queried for keyword matches, and for idea and concept relevance.
With the Text DataBlade, expertise in managing text is in the database instead of in each application, and the hard part of text application development is already done. All of Illustras DataBlade modules can be combined to support any combination of multimedia and complex data.
