KE Libris is a reference library management system implemented under Unix. It interfaces with barcode readers and provides powerful data entry, verification and enquiry facilities with extremely fast retrieval. It supports automatic loading of MARC format records and has totally intergrated support for both monograph titles and serials. Its serials module handles serials registration, subscription renewal and claim generation for overdue serials. Receipt of new serial issues triggers automatic generation and maintenance of distribution lists and e-mail notification to interested users.
