KE TEXPRESS is a Unix based object-oriented information management system which supports any combination of structured and textual data. It specializes in extremely fast retrieval even from huge data collections. It is user friendly, enabling users to create and customize their own systems and reports without having to learn a programming language.
KE TEXPRESS supports Texql, a nested relational query language with extensions for free text, multi-valuued fields and reference attribures. Incorporating a C/C++ Applications Programming Interface (API) for Unix, Windows and Macintosh, KE TEXPRESS provides complete client/server functionality. KE TEXPRESS has fully integrated support for 8 bit extended ASCII characters for European languages and for multi-byte character sets such as Chinese and Japanese. Internet access to KE TEXPRESS databases can be easily interlinked, and seamlessly integrated with laser-disc, Geographical Information Systems and various DOS/Windows applications.
